System
Sporebound is a game about hard choices, resistance, leftist infighting, and teamwork. Sporebound's system reflects those themes
- Sporebound's Core Rules are a card based system which requires Sporebound decide how they spend their resources wisely. It rewards working together and pooling your resources, including working together to be dramatic and move the story forward.
- Sporebound characters describe what your character is good at, what they care about, and the way they structure their hand of cards.
- Conflict describes what happens when your characters fight back against The Blight, or quarrel with each other.
- Tension Tests are how Sporebound keeps the story moving forward, whether in your fight against the Blight or against yourself.
- Anchors are what ties your Spourebound to the world of humans, keeping you rooted in the community you're trying to protect.
- Stress is what happens when there's a conflict between the part of you that is human, and the part of you that is fungus. Fungus doesn't care what happens to humans, but you're supposed to.
